Moscow, July 2 — “Conduct. Economy”this year, shipments of 5G smartphones on a global scale will be small — approximately 13 million units, but in the future the demand for such devices will grow rapidly, I believe the research company Canalys.

According to the forecasts of researchers, in the period from 2019 to 2023 global shipments of phones that support 5G will reach 1.9 billion units, with an average annual growth rate of 180%. The largest market of such devices by the end of the specified period of time will be China, which will have 34% of the segment.
The share of support 5G smartphones in the Chinese market will grow from 17.5% in 2020 to 62.7% in 2023-m.
