But is it needed?
Apple is considering equipping the MacBook next generation sensor pulse. This was pointed out a fresh patent, which describes the structure of the laptop with a built-in heart rate sensor.
According to a new Apple patent, the biosensor is integrated to the right of the touchpad. The company’s engineers have determined that it is the ideal place for the location of the sensor pulse, since the user do not have to go to perform the measurement.
The patent notes that the MacBook can be set large and an accurate heart rate sensor. Due to this, users will have the ability to quickly and accurately measure the pulse, not detracting from the work.
Note that not all Apple patents get implemented in real life. However, given the recent efforts of the company to equip their devices with biometric sensors, heart rate can really get up to a MacBook in the future.
