Russians most often pay online mobile communications and purchase at the online store, the research conducted by analysts of Mediascope. “Most users already have experience of online payment of mobile communication (85,8%), purchases in Internet-shops (81%) and utilities (74%). These categories for several years are among the most popular,” — analysts say. The most dynamic and developing area is online payment by a taxi. During the year the proportion of users paying for taxi payments in Internet increased by almost 12%. “Most dynamically growing share of users who pay online for a taxi. During the year it increased by almost 12% from 45.4% in 2018 to 50.8% in 2019. Interestingly, for a taxi was often paid young people — about 64% of respondents aged 18 to 24 years and almost 63% in the group from 25 to 34 years,” the study says. According to Mediascope, also increased the number of people using the Internet to book hotels and buy tickets for the transport by about 3% in each category. The most popular means for online payments remain Bank cards, they for a year have used 90,5% of Russians. A leader among online payment services have traditionally remained “Sberbank Online”.
