Who is right and who is wrong
Apple and Qualcomm lead trial in January 2017. It all began with a lawsuit in which the Corporation accused the supplier in inflating the price of purchased chips. In April of the same year, Qualcomm has already accused Apple of violating patent rights and even demanded to impose a ban on iPhone sales, saying that any modern phone, including Apple, would not have been possible without its technology. And in November, the vendor has filed another lawsuit — it said that “Apple” the company granted access to the source code software, which Qualcomm could not verify the reliability of its protection.
At the end of June 2018, the us manufacturer said that it will no longer supply Apple with modem chips, referring to protracted legal disputes. This meant that the range of iPhone 2018 will be equipped only with Intel modems. But in spite of that, Qualcomm did not rule out the possibility of resuming cooperation with Apple after the resolution of all issues. Meanwhile, users began to worry about the speed of the new Apple smartphones. Oil poured into the fire, and joint testing and Qualcomm Speedtest.com it showed that Android smartphones with Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC 845 show a higher speed in 4G networks than devices with modems Intel XMM 7480 and Intel XMM 7360.
September 12 Apple introduced a new iPhone, two of which, the iPhone XS and XS Max, went on sale the 21st number. But after a few days smartphone owners began to complain of defects of devices, including the weak signal of cellular communication and Wi-Fi. On the forums immediately there was speculation that the problem may lie in cellular modems, because the old models are equipped with components of production Qualcomm and Intel, and the smartphones this year was limited to only the latest products of the company. At the same time, recently tested the service SpeedSmart speed data transfer iPhone XS iPhone XS Max and LTE, and found that it is much higher than the iPhone X.
