The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2019, following approval by regulatory bodies.

Dialog Semiconductor will manufacture chips for AirPods, Apple Watch, and VR headset.

Apple will also take over the patents and approximately 300 engineers from the commands Dialog in the UK, Italy and Germany, constituting about 16% of all employees.

Most of these experts have already worked with Apple.

Previously, Apple had planned to buy another eropeyskoy partner, chip manufacturer Imagination Technologies.
