iPhone is not so easy to prevent!
Last week, a Chinese court found Apple guilty of violating two different patents of the American company Qualcomm. The court made a serious verdict and declared that Apple should stop to sell the most iPhones in China. Apple appeared to disagree with the court decision and came up with an unusual workaround that will allow the company to avoid a prohibition of sales.
Next week Apple releases a new iOS version for Chinese users. The update will be addressed “minor issues” that are associated with the functions described in the violated patents of Qualcomm. Thus Apple will be able quite legally to get around the court ban.
Previously, Apple representatives have already stated that a strange injunction will not affect sales of the iPhone in China. The fact that according to the court decision Apple should stop selling iPhone running iOS 10 and iOS 11. Now Apple sells iPhone in China exclusively running iOS 12.
Even older models including the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus out of the box work on the latest version of Apple’s operating system. However, companies want to avoid any possible claims on the part of China, therefore, Apple is preparing a special version of iOS 12 for Chinese users.
