Apple has gained $200 million on the devices (PRODUCT) RED to fight VICW 2006, the soloist of group U2 Bono and Robert “Bobby” Shriver of ONED Campaign/DATA founded Product Red font. His purpose was to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria.
For many years Apple supported this organization, periodically releasing a special series of their devices PRODUCT (RED). All the gadgets were notable for their bright red color symbolizing the blood of man.
For the whole period of partnership Apple has invested in a Fund of $200 million, accounting for a third of all the money the organization received in 12 years of existence.
The Foundation helps in the fight against HIV in Kenya and seven other African countries located South of the Sahara. During the existence Product Red the situation in these locations has improved significantly.
So in 2000, HIV was diagnosed in 9.3% of the population. In 2017 this figure fell by almost half, amounting to 4.8 per cent.
1 through December 7, Apple is launching a new campaign in honor of world day of fight against AIDS. Each spent in the App store through the payment system Pay Apple a dollar will go to the organization Product Red. For the duration of the promotion the company logo in retail stores around the world will be painted red.
