Last night Apple announced the iPhone repair 8 in several countries, according to which can produce a free replacement of the motherboard, in case of malfunctions in operation of the device. According to Apple, owners of the troubled devices may experience unexpected reboots, and the screen can suddenly stop responding to touch.
The company claims that the failure has affected only a small number of iPhone 8. The affected models are subject to the manufacturing defect of motherboard. Problem smartphones were sold from September 2017 to March 2018 in Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Macau, New Zealand and the United States. If your device falls under the replacement program, for free Apple will replace the motherboard or get a new smartphone.
To check your iPhone 8 is in a special form on the Apple website by selecting the region and putting the serial number of the device. Note that the program does not affect the iPhone 8 Plus or other iPhone models.
If your device is listed as eligible under the program, should contact the nearest Apple Store or Authorized Service center in the country where the purchase was made. It is highly recommended to create a backup device to avoid losing data.
