Analytical company Gartner has published a new report. It reflects the situation in the global smartphone market in the third quarter of 2019. In a nutshell, the reporting period saw its position strengthened only Samsung, Huawei and Oppo. The rest, including Apple, have shown negative growth.
The leader of the global smartphone market was Samsung. In the third quarter of 2019, the Korean giant sold 79 million units, occupying 20.4% of the market. Second place went to Chinese Huawei. During the year, the manufacturer has significantly increased the supply of smartphones. Now they reach 65.8 mln.
Apple rounded out the top three. During the reporting period, the cupertinos have managed to implement 40,8 million smartphones, almost 5 million less than the year before. Now cupertinos occupy 10,5% of the market.
Experts Gartner explaining the significant decline in sales of the iPhone by several factors. In particular, today’s users increasingly look to the side devices the average. In addition, many are waiting for mass adoption of fifth generation networks and the advent of smartphones with support for 5G. All of this negatively affects sales of the iPhone.
