NEW YORK, October 12. /TASS/. American Corporation Apple intends to donate an undisclosed sum to the charitable organizations established to help victims of hurricane Michael and the aftermath of the disaster that struck the Southeast United States. This was announced by CEO Tim cook.
“I grew up on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico near Pensacola and mobile, and this region occupies a special place in my heart,” he wrote on his Twitter page. “All the people who are on the path of hurricane Michael, I want to say that pray for them,” said cook.
“Apple agrees with their friends at the Gulf of Mexico and make donations for the rehabilitation and liquidation [of the hurricane],” — said the head of the Corporation. The amount that the company intends to transfer to a good cause, cook said.
Previously, Apple has repeatedly donated money to help victims of hurricanes and natural disasters. So, in September of last year, California-based company paid $5 million to the Fund for those affected by the hurricane “Harvey” and “Irma”.
