Apple returned the walkie-talkie feature in the Apple watch
IOS release 12.4 also adds improved wireless migration between iPhone.

Today Apple released software updates for iOS, watchOS and HomePod as it prepares for a much more major release with new features, which will appear this fall. In iOS release 12.4 introduces a new option “Migrate iPhone”, which “provides wireless data transfer and cutover from old iPhone to new iPhone during installation”.

Apple has already proposed wireless transfer between iOS devices, but you still need to use iCloud. The new method takes a lot of content, application data, device settings, photos, etc. directly from iPhone to iPhone. However, the application must be downloaded from the App Store after you complete this step of migration.

The important point is that the passwords are now also transferred to the new iPhone. Previously, the passwords were not saved as part of the iCloud backups for security reasons and privacy. Was the ability to encrypt a backup of your device using iTunes passwords, but Apple probably wanted to offer another option that did not require the participation of the computer.

iOS 12.4 also improves viewing Apple News Plus, simplifying access to all publications (including Newspapers such as The Wall Street Journal) in the upper part of the section Plus News.

Apple says that today’s updates include a security fix, which again includes the Walkie Talkie function on the Apple Watch, which was briefly disabled after the detection of a vulnerability that could allow someone to secretly listen iPhone of another person without his consent; Apple announced that it saw no indication that anyone took advantage of this vulnerability before they reported it. Last update watchOS version 5.3 extends the support function of the ECG in the Apple Watch and the irregular heart beat detection in Canada and Singapore.

Finally, Apple claims that its smart HomePod speaker should now work in Japan and Taiwan.

The beta version of iOS 12.4 contained basic support for the future credit card Apple Card, which should be released in the summer. Website Apple Card remains unchanged, so Apple is not ready to accept applications for the cards that she brings to the market a joint effort with Goldman Sachs. The company allowed its employees to apply and start testing the card, which includes a withdrawal without a fee, daily cash back on purchase of Apple and Apple Pay and the physical card with laser engraving of titanium, which can be used anywhere where there is contactless payments.
