According to recent reports, Apple Watch continues to dominate in the segment of smart watches. According to market research company Strategy Analytics, during the second quarter of 2019 Apple has sold about 5.7 million of its “smart” watches worldwide.

This is 50% more compared to the same period last year — in the second quarter of 2018, the company sold “only” 3.8 million devices. The share of Apple in the market of “smart” hours for the year increased from 44% to 46%.

“Apple has sold 5.7 million smart watch around the world in the 2nd quarter of 2019, increasing the performance, compared to last year by 50%. The Apple Watch is still far ahead of the nearest competitor in terms of sales. Apple Watch successfully bypassed the strong competitors in the face of Fitbit. Thus, Apple remains the clear leader in the market of smart hours”, — said the Executive Director of Strategy Analytics Neil Mouston.
