Apple has confirmed that “very small percentage” of iPhone 8 has been released with defective system Board and began a campaign for free repair those phones. Apple has created a service where users can serial number to check whether their smartphone for a replacement Board, writes Appleinsider.
Smartphones with defect tend to spontaneously reboot and shut down and not respond to touching the screen. The problem devices were sold in the period from September 2017 to March 2018 in the United States, China, Hong Kong, Australia, India, Japan, Macau and New Zealand. Not affected by the problem model iPhone 8 Plus and other versions of iPhone.
