Apple will require all app developers to include in their products privacy policy that describes how it will process the data of users. This measure will become mandatory starting from the 3rd of October 2018.

The company announced the new rules at the forum for developers. The requirement will affect all applications, including testing. In addition to the fact of the existence of the privacy policy, developers are also allowed to make changes up to the release of a new version of the application.

These include determining what data the app collects, how and how can be used data. In addition, the application must describe how the user can withdraw consent or request deletion of their data.

Apple also requires application developers to ensure that third parties with whom they exchange information, provide “the same or equal protection of user data.”
