“Apple intends to abandon the “butterfly” used in Macbook in 2015, which is the cause of problems with device reliability, and low-mobility design was not popular with many Mac users. Apple will introduce a new keyboard design that is based on scissor-switches, for durability and increased keystroke, starting with the MacBook Air 2019″, the portal says.

According to 9to5mac, the Macbook Pro will also get a new keyboard with “scissor” mechanism, but not before 2020. It is expected that the new mechanism would cost more than the design used for other laptops, but it will be cheaper “butterflies”.
