Legendary analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has published a report with a list of devices that Apple will likely release this fall. 9to5Mac tried to imagine how will look some of them.
According to Kuo, the new generation of the Apple Watch — Series 4 — will feature more edge-to-edge display. The physical size of the case is likely to remain the same. But by reducing the frames, the active area will be more. Apple has already done this focus, releasing iPhone X, the dimensions of which do not much exceed the ordinary version of the iPhone 6, 7 or 8, and the screen size can compete with a series of Plus.
Due to frameless display, the user can choose a larger font to consider more details of a picture and less likely to scroll the screen.
iPad Pro also expect significant changes. Kuo believes that Apple will introduce two frameless models. A larger version with a diagonal of 12.9 inches will replace the previous generation of tablets. The new device will lose the “Home” button, but it will acquire facial recognition system Face ID of the user that may need a distinctive bulge.
The second model with the 11-inch will replace the 10.5-inch device. Owners of tablets will be able to work on the screens of the usual size, dressed in more compact housings.
The issue with branded “fringe” inherent iPhone X remains open. Maybe Apple will not repeat this technique on the iPad Pro, as to get rid of frames completely is not, and the remaining technology gap there is a place for all system sensors Face ID.
How correct were the predictions of Ming-Chi Kuo, will be known in the autumn of 2018.
