Huawei is committed to make every effort to make by 2019 to overtake Apple in number of smartphones sold. This reports the South China Morning Post.
These statements seem pretty ambitious, especially given the fact that in 2017, Apple has sold 215 million smartphones, and only Hauwei 153 million. However, the company’s management believes that by the end of 2018 delivery Huawei will amount to 200 million devices in 2019, does exceed the performance of the Corporation from Cupertino.
Calculation of sales includes smartphones, released under the name Huawei, and under the brand Honor.
In the opinion of management of the Chinese company, Huawei can bypass Apple due to high demand in India and in the markets of other developing countries. According to the latest reports, only two per cent sold in India phones are the iPhone, and Apple employees do not understand how to work in this region, which leads to a decline in supply.
In the fourth quarter of 2017, Huawei’s sales briefly exceeded the results of the company Tim cook. But the Chinese brand managed to keep the lead only for a short time — a presentation and then the sales start of the iPhone 8 and iPhone X helped Apple to regain the lead.
Maybe actively working with developing regions do will bear fruit and will enable Huawei to achieve its goals.
