Company DxO Labs, which owns the popular service DxOMark dealing with professional camera, published a review of the flagship smartphone Sony Xperia 1, presented in the beginning of the year and went on sale in late may.
The main camera of the smartphone triple 12 MP each module, optics — wide-angle, phone and extra wide. Shooting can be accomplished in 4K resolution with HDR, at 24 frames per second and 21:9 format. There is a function Cinema Pro and ready presets of color correction. The front camera is 8 — megapixel.
Despite the hardware features DxOMark appreciated the opportunities to shoot Xperia 1 is not at the level of leaders of the rating. The main camera has received in the overall standings with 91 points, 20 points less than the current leader of the rating — Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5 with his 113 points. Moreover, the smartphone is lost is not the new iPhone 8 two years ago with its 92 points and is on par with the “budget” last year’s flagship Xiaomi Pocophone.
Only for photography, the smartphone received 94 points, and for video 84 points. One of the advantages there has been a rapid and accurate autofocus, good color rendering in low light and good exposure in low light.
Selfie camera showed themselves not too brilliantly, scoring 78 points. Smartphone bypassed Google Pixel 2, but lost Apple iPhone XS Max.
