TASS, November 15. The Commission of prosecutors of 48 States of the USA plans to expand the antitrust investigation against Google. This was announced on Thursday, television channel CNBC, citing sources.
Earlier, the prosecutors of several States claimed that the investigation will be focused on Google’s advertising policy owned by the Corporation Google. However, at a recent meeting, the attorney General of Texas Ken Paxton in charge of the investigation at the level of the States attorneys General, announced the intention to expand the trial to other areas of the company. The Commission plans to draw attention to the search mechanisms used by Google, and the projects associated with the Android platform, owned by the company.
According to the source, to this end, Google will send an official extradition request, prosecutors required documents or the granting of opportunities available to them. It is noted that a new investigation will be headed by representatives of other States and will be kept separately from the existing one.
