All told insider.
One of the Apple suppliers confirmed the main feature of the next-generation iPhone design. iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Plus and iPhone 9, which will be presented in September, will be outwardly similar to the X iPhone.
As reported by insider Gordon Kelly, all three new iPhone will get a system of scanning the user’s face Face ID , and the screens are almost without limits. Thick edges on the top and bottom disappear, as well as the Home button with the fingerprint scanner Touch ID. This also applies to models with OLED display and smartphone with LCD panel.
Their assumptions Kelly is based on data on financial results of the supplier of VCSEL lasers for Face ID — company Lumentum. In the last quarter the company demonstrated significant growth by the market of components for AR and VR systems. This indicates an increase in the production of parts for the updated iPhone.
75% of orders Lumentum have on Apple, but the jump in production of the iPhone X was not. It can be concluded that the new components are released to the not yet released models.
Apple will unveil a new iPhone in early September, probably the 12th. This year’s lineup will consist of a 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch and 6.4-inch devices with improved hardware and design.
