American companies Facebook and Instagram filed a lawsuit in U.S. Federal court on four companies and three people from China for selling fake accounts, likes and followers. About this Facebook reported on Friday on its website.
“Feeding lawsuit, we hope to confirm that this kind of fraud is unacceptable, and we will act decisively to protect the integrity of our platform,” — said in a statement. Facebook insists that its brand was used illegally, which violates American intellectual property law.
In a press release, the world’s largest social network also notes that hackers from China used false accounts of such giants of the digital economy as Amazon, Apple, Google, LinkedIn and Twitter.
