Samsung, currently the recognized leader of the global smartphone market, is in very poor condition in the Chinese market. China is the largest market in sales of smartphones in the world.
The share of Samsung in China has fallen rapidly in recent years — from 20% in 2013 to 0.8% in 2018. In just the past year, Samsung has managed to sell in China only 3.4 million smartphones.
Leaders of the Chinese steel market Huawei with a share of 25.8%, Oppo and Vivo from 20.3% and 19.5%, respectively. In fourth place is Xiaomi with a 12.1%, and the fifth took the Apple, which accounted for 8.2% of the total Chinese smartphone sales.
