Apple announced the launch of a new program under which owners of certain iPhone 8 can take your smartphone for a free replacement motherboard.
The company found that problems with the motherboard are observed in a small percentage of iPhone 8. Because of this, they may suddenly restart, do not respond to touch or not to join. Problem smartphones were sold from September 2017 to March 2018 in Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Macau, New Zealand and the United States.
Apple created a special page to iPhone 8 unable to verify your smartphone to participate in the program. To do this, enter the serial number of your phone and select a region.
If the device falls under the scope of the program, it will offer to hand over for repair to Apple Store or authorised service centre. Before that smartphone owners are recommended to do a system backup via iCloud or iTunes.
According to Apple, the problem with motherboards is not affected by iPhone 8 Plus and other iPhone.
