One of the most overlooked features in iOS has always been “Replace text”. It allows you to significantly speed up recruitment proposals – here’s how to turn it on.

“Replace text” allows you to enter, for example, a phone number or email address by using “@@” or “##”. Similarly, you can quickly dial Emoji, for example, typing “aapl” for “”.

How to set replace text in iPhone and iPad

  • Open settings > General > Keyboard > text Replacement.
  • Click the “+” button in the upper right corner to add a new replacement or “Edit” in the lower left corner.
  • To add a replacement, you need to keep in the top box the full word or phrase, and the lower the required cut. It should make sure that it is rarely used, so you don’t accidentally dial it on the keyboard.
  • Click the “Save” button in the upper right corner.
  • This feature is as old as the century, but definitely deserves attention. Very soon iOS 12, and add to iPhone with many new features. Among them: group FaceTime calls, improved notifications, ARKit 2, “Screen time,” the new regime “do Not disturb” and so on.
