The shop is located in the city centre on Piazza del Liberty, near a popular pedestrian shopping street of Corso Vittorio Emanuele.
The entrance to the Apple Store is designed in the form of an amphitheatre, glass design over the square is decorated with an artificial waterfall. This is the first Apple store built in Italy in the framework of cooperation with the Bureau Foster + Partners.
In the square, made of a common in Milan stone Beola Grigia, year-round to host various events. It is assumed that the glass dome in the evenings to serve as a screen for film screenings. In the open area also planted 14 trees of gleditsia.
The shopping area is located underground in the room are going to hold workshops on photography, filmmaking, design and music.
“To work in one of the historic squares of Italy is both a great responsibility and a great challenge. We have combined the two fundamental elements of Italian squares, water and stone, adding a glass portal. This is a new experience of the senses: visitors enter the store through a cascading fountain, which seemingly envelops them,” said Apple design chief jony Ive.
Earlier, the Bureau Foster + Partners had already designed the Apple stores in Macau, Chicago and London.
