The Swiss competition Commission launched an investigation in connection with the fact that a number of banks are suspected of boycotting the use of Apple Pay and Samsung Pay in favor of the Swiss payment system, according to the website of the regulator.
“In November 2018, the competition Commission launched an investigation against several Swiss banks. At issue is the boycott of mobile payment systems like Apple Pay and Samsung Pay,” — said in the message.
The Commission suspected that the banks have agreed to boycott the use of Bank cards for use with Apple Pay and Samsung Pay the same in favour of the Swiss system TWINT.
The investigation is carried out against Aduno Holding, Credit Suisse, UBS Switzerland and other credit institutions, specified in the message.
