According to interlocutors of the edition, the service uses a cloud platform Huawei Cloud. Huawei Music will offer users a monthly subscription to the music and the clips, the cost of which will be comparable to Apple Music and Google Play.

Now the company is in talks with international music labels, sources say. Huawei declined to comment.

As pointed out by “Kommersant”, the media projects of Huawei in Russia is not particularly successful: platform “THT-Premier”, which the Chinese company developed “Gazprom-media”, six months after the start and did not start to work stably.

Analyst Mobile Research Group Eldar Murtazin believes that Huawei was late in entering the market and are unlikely to gain a large user base and earn on the project.

Head of group distribution and business development “Yandex. Music” Vladimir Gorbunov said that to launch music platform Huawei may require at least a year, and one of the most difficult tasks will be to develop technology recommendations and negotiations with the rights holders.

Launching the music service will continue the series of investment of Huawei in Russian market. In February the company leased 500 stands in the Metropolitan data centers for data localization, including the launch of Russia’s payment system Huawei Pay. In 2019, Huawei also intends to expand its retail network in the country.
