Manufacturers of smartphones, tablets and computers may be required to preinstall on their domestic software. The corresponding bill was prepared and submitted to the Ministry of communications of the Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS), reports “Kommersant”. Except preset AT the Russian manufacturers will have to provide the possibility of udaljenosti with devices of foreign programs. However, the installation of domestic software and the ability to remove applications should not affect the quality and speed of the operating system. “The fulfillment of the requirements for the preset and udaljenosti applications that do not affect the functionality of a device, will be one of the conditions for certification of the subscriber communication equipment”, — said Deputy Minister Anatoly Golomolzin. The communications Ministry has acquainted with the text of the bill and stated that the document requires consideration of the technical and economic point of view. “The document is being analysed by relevant departments. A list of devices that are covered by the bill, as well as the requirements to the Russian software will be set by the government. The law, if adopted, should enter into force on 1 January 2020. Previously presented the concept of the bill criticized the Russian Association of electronics manufacturers (RATEK), representing Apple, Samsung, Google, HP, Dell, Huawei and other electronics manufacturers.
