MOSCOW, September 27. /TASS/. The record firm “Melodiya” presented a live recording of the students ‘ concert pianist and teacher Vera Gornostaeva to the 90th anniversary of her birth, told TASS on Friday in a press-service of the company.
On this CD the concert of pupils of Ermine Lukas geniušas, Vadim Kholodenko and Andrei Gugnin held in the Moscow hall “charge” in July of 2019. They performed works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Schubert and Robert Schumann — all these works, the musicians rehearsed in the classroom Ermine, explained in a press-service.
“Lukas Geniušas, Vadym Kholodenko, Andrey Gugnin been friends since University. Professor jokingly called their Pets “the three Musketeers” or “three heroes,” — told in the company. Also in a press-service have specified that this is the first recording made by Melodiya in the new hall of the Moscow Zaryadye.
Bonus track of the album was “Romance for piano six hands” by Sergei Rachmaninoff, performed by pianists as an encore. It is only available in a digital edition. The digital edition is available on iTunes, Apple Music, Youtube and other services.
Vera Gornostaeva (1929-2015) — Soviet and Russian pianist, teacher, musical and public figure, publicist. In 1952 she graduated from the Moscow state Conservatory (MGK) named after P. I. Tchaikovsky, and in 1955 — postgraduate studies in piano with Heinrich Neuhaus, after which immediately began teaching and concert activity. In 1966 he became a Professor of the Moscow Conservatoire, later President of the Moscow Union of musicians.
Among the pupils of Vera Gornostaeva — Eteri Anjaparidze, Sergei Babayan, Dina Joffe, Marat Gubaidullin, semen Kruchin, Alexander Slobodyanik, Alexey Botvinov and others.
