Microsoft working on its own headset in the style of AirPods
Microsoft is developing its own wireless in-ear headphones to compete with AirPods, according to tech site Thurrott, citing several sources familiar with the company’s plans.
In the past year, Microsoft has already released the headphones Surface Headphones. On the contrary, Apple is said to working on their own pair of overhead headphones under the Apple brand, not under the brand Beats.
Currently little is known about the AirPods from competitor Microsoft. It is reported that they have a code name “Morrison”, that may be a reference to Jim Morrison from The Doors. In addition, you can expect from the new headphone by Microsoft features such as integration with intelligent assistant Microsoft Cortana, and possibly noise reduction.
At the moment the release date of Surface Pro Earbuds is unknown, and, like most rumors, there is no guarantee that a competitor AirPods really see the light.
Wireless headphones are nothing new, but it is clear that the AirPods from Apple has boosted the popularity of the category of completely wireless headphones. Samsung has its own Galaxy Buds, Amazon is also working on a pair of wireless headphones Alexa, and several audiocompany such as Jabra, Sennheiser, Buds J and many others, offer wireless headphones at various price ranges.
