Analyst firm IDC reported on the results of the international tablet market in the second quarter of 2019. Everything in the world has sold 32.3 million tablets, which is 5% less compared to the same quarter of 2018.
The sales leader remains Apple with its iPad. Interestingly, despite the overall decline, Apple sales increased by 6.1% — from 11.6 million last year to 12.3 million in 2019. The launch of the new iPad Air in the second quarter allowed Apple to double the sales of hybrid models. Ordinary iPad sold 7.5% worse than last year.
Another company in the top five showed an increase, was the company Amazon (fourth place) with an impressive growth of 46.3% — from 1.6 to 2.4 million it has affected the July event.
In second place with a big separation from the leader is located Samsung. She sold for the quarter of 4.9 million tablets, which is 3.1% less than last year’s result. On the third and fifth places — Huawei and Lenovo with 3.3 and 1.9 million sold tablets.
