The American edition of J. D. Power conducted a study on the relationship of drivers to the different active safety systems. It turned out that engineering refinements, aimed at reducing the number of accidents, appreciate not all.

The survey was attended by the owners of 20 thousand owners of new cars of 2019 model year, which proposed to perform 38 different systems and remember the excitement in the first 90 days of ownership. Many respondents complained about the hold function in the outside lane and assistant, helping to move closer to its center — 23% of respondents said “help” “irritating and annoying”, and 63% of drivers simply deactivated them. It is interesting that 21% of motorists, which the assistants don’t hate, also turned these systems off.

But with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that allows you to connect your smartphone to the multimedia system of the vehicle, issues much less — 69% of respondents said that they would like to see in their next machines, and 68% voted in favor of continued use of the factory navigation.

With regard to the job satisfaction of the auxiliary devices, the most points scored Kia Stinger — 834 out of 1000 possible. Kona followed by Hyundai, Toyota C-HR, the Kia Forte, Chevrolet Blazer, Porsche Cayenne and Ford Expedition.
