Tele2 is using big data technologies analyzed the activity of its customers in nine of the largest summer open air festivals in Moscow, the press service of the company.

We are talking about the Afisha picnic, festivals Park Live Bosco Fresh Fest, “Usadba Jazz”, “Aloma”, “Swallow”, Geek Picnic and championship home-made flying machines Red Bull Flugtag.

The most popular was the picnic of “Afisha”. It was attended by about 20% of the total number of subscribers who this summer attended the event outdoors. In second place — festival of science and technology Geek Picnic. Third place went to a music festival Park Live. The five leaders also joined the Red Bull Flugtag festival and the Metro Family.

The leader on volume of the downloaded traffic has become the Geek Picnic. Tele2 clients downloaded and sent 1 936 GB of data. Visitors Park Live downloaded 1 530 GB. Picnic “Afisha” here on the third place, Red Bull Flugtag — fourth, and family festival of the newspaper Metro for the fifth.

In General, at summer festivals, the operator’s subscribers downloaded 9 387 GB and spoke 147 thousand minutes. Among manufacturers of smartphones with a big lead Apple: 41% of fans of summer festivals has the gadgets of this brand. On the second place in popularity was the Xiaomi smartphones and the Samsung.

The majority of owners of Apple — women. But Xiaomi and Samsung are more popular among men. The proportion of men and women in the number of visitors to the summer events were almost equal: 55% and 45% respectively. More than 50% of the festival visitors amounted to Tele2 subscribers aged 25 to 35 years.

Earlier it became known that the number of mobile subscribers in Russia in the first six months of the year increased by 1.9 million. According to estimates of the analytical company AC&M Consulting, for six months, Tele2 connected of 1.88 million new subscribers by 700 thousand people increased the number of subscribers of “MegaFon”, MTS, the increase amounted to 90 thousand.
