KIEV, December 2. /TASS/. E-petition to ban the gadgets of Apple appeared on the website of President Vladimir Zelensky. Currently, the petition was supported by 635 people at the minimum required for consideration 25 thousand

“I demand to immediately ban the activities of Apple in Ukraine, to ban their products, their importation. To create a state program for recycling available to the public products with a refund”, — said in the petition. Until the end of voting for the document stayed 89 days.

Last week, the Chairman of the Duma Committee for security and combating corruption Vasily Piskarev told reporters that Apple has completely eliminated the claims of the deputies of the state Duma at the direction of the territorial belonging of Crimea to their services, including in application “Weather”. Prior to this, in particular, the Crimean city in this application is not fully displayed as the territory of the Russian Federation.

The Ukrainian Embassy in Washington asked the state Department and to the leadership of Apple due to the fact that the Corporation was to mention the Crimea and Sevastopol as Russian territory in their services in Russia. The Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vadim pristayko criticized Apple and advised her not to engage in global policy because it is “not her Forte”. A former foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin urged the Ukrainian citizens to refrain from gadgets made by Apple.

After a coup in Ukraine in February 2014, the authorities of the Crimea and Sevastopol held a referendum on reunification with Russia. It was attended by more than 80% of the population voting for reunification with Russia voted 96.7% and 95.6%, respectively. 18 Mar 2014 Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a Treaty accepting the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol into the Russian Federation, and on March 21 the document was ratified by the Federal Assembly.
