Xiaomi company in Beijing introduced its own technology 64-megapixel camera that will be used in smartphones.

In the new technology of image processing used Samsung ISOCELL sensor Bright GW1, presented by the South Korean manufacturer in may this year.

Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 is an image sensor with high resolution of 64 mega pixels, designed for capturing bright and clear pictures in any light using the technology Tetracell 3D and HDR. The new matrix combines four pixels into one, which increases its sensitivity by 15% than the 48-megapixel counterpart. Depending on the intensity of the light adjust ISO automatically.

Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 is equipped with a 1/1. 7 inch sensor with a pixel size of 0.8 µm (1.6 µm after the four pixels to 16-megapixel photos). The sensor also supports Hybrid 3D HDR, to achieve a dynamic range of 100 DB. Camera Xiaomi 64 MP will produce pictures with a resolution 9248×6936 pixels which can be printed on a large poster size of 2.44×3,26 m.

The first smartphone Redmi camera 64 MP appears in India in the fourth quarter of this year. It is expected that the first devices supporting the new technology, will be the Redmi Note 8.
