Official representatives of Roskomnadzor once again turned to Apple demanding to remove the blocked messenger Telegram from the App Store. The Agency also requires that Apple stopped sending push notifications Telegram to Russian users. Roskomnadzor recommended to fulfill the requirement if Apple wants to avoid “acts of violation of the functioning of the” App Store.
Earlier Roskomnadzor has already sent to Apple and Google a letter demanding to remove the application Telegram from the App Store and Google Play respectively. It happened April 17, 2018, a few days after the official blocking of the messenger in Russia. However, neither Apple nor Google is a requirement of the Russian authorities has not complied.
