At WWDC 2019 Apple talked about their plans to make the authentication process applications more secure. According to representatives of Corporation, the developers test the option “Sign in with Apple”, which can be used with all applications that support login credentials third party services.

Apple details painted a new scheme for resource for developers. Now all the applications that support login with Google accounts, Facebook or Twitter, must include in the list the option “Sign in with Apple”.

Beta innovations plans to launch in the summer. Once that happens, developers will be able to test a new feature in their apps.

At first glance it may seem that Apple is too aggressive in forcing developers the option “Sign in with Apple”, but the company noted: this is done for reasons of user privacy.

According to the management of Apple, the “Sign in with Apple” will not transfer any user data applications. Moreover, with this innovation, you can create a unique one-time mailbox for authentication, which is subsequently removed.

“Simple API will allow developers to add a button “Sign in with Apple” in their applications. Just click on it and you will be able to authenticate using Face ID”, — said Craig Federighi at the conference.

According to the documentation, the new entry system will be compatible with apps for iOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS. Also the system can be used on other web platforms using JavaScript.
