Apple allowed iPhone users to repair phones with aftermarket batteries in their authorized service centers. This became known from an internal Apple document, which was obtained by MacRumors from reliable sources in the company.
IPhone owners whose smartphones batteries are installed from third-party manufacturers can now count on an official repair from Apple. The new rule applies to all Apple authorized service centers of the company. First Apple refused to repair an iPhone of any complexity in that case, if the smartphone is set to non-original battery.
New rules apply for any type of repair. Even if the iPhone user wants to replace non-original battery officially designed for smartphone battery, Apple will replace for the standard fee.
Updated rules of service centers, Apple has entered into force Thursday, February 28. They should apply to service centers of Apple around the world, including Russian.
If iPhone installed other third-party accessories that Apple will refuse to repair. This applies to motherboards, cases, microphones, Lightning connector, volume buttons and power supply and other components.
