Strategy Analytics has published the results of the analysis of the global tablet market. The conclusions are not encouraging: the demand for the devices continues to fall.
For the second quarter of 2019 have been sold worldwide of 37.4 million tablets, which is 7% lower than the same period last year. The market leader is Apple with a share of 28.6%. For the period from April to June, the company delivered approximately 10.7 million iPad. However, this was 7% less than it was in 2018. Slightly better things from Samsung. First, the company and the market share increased (from 12.4% to 13.2%), and second shipments fell by only 1% — to 4.9 million units.
Next is Huawei. The company all good: it has strengthened its position in the market (from 9.3% to 10.4%) and even managed to increase sales of tablets by 4% (to 3.9 million).
