Online service Typeform, providing the opportunity to add survey forms on web sites suffered a data breach — has been compromised the information that the users entered in these forms. This was stated by the official representatives of the service.

You might not guess what a Typeform, but there is a high probability that you at some point filled out a survey provided this service. Indeed, among the Typeform clients there are large corporations like Adobe, Airbnb, Apple, BBC, Facebook, Forbes, Freshdesk, HubSpot, Indiegogo, Trello, Uber, this is not a complete list.

In the statement made by the representatives of the service, reads as follows:

“On 27 June 2018, our team became aware that an unidentified third-party individual or group of individuals gained access to our server and downloaded some information. As a result, some data were compromised. We responded immediately and eliminated the cause of the leak, to prevent similar incidents in the future.”

“Compromised data date back to the 3rd may 2018. Therefore, all collected after this date the data do not fall into the hands of third parties.”

Among the stolen information could be found the names, email addresses, and other data that users enter in created a Typeform form.

In Typeform assured that contacted all the affected parties.
