A Florida man named Zoltan Crisco was sued by Marvel, Buena Vista Television, Amazon, Apple, and Haim Saban. His complaint is related to the animated series “X-Men” going in the ‘ 90s, reports Deadline. The plaintiff alleges that the main musical theme of the TV show copies the screensaver to the Hungarian TV series “Linda” in 1983.

Crisco represents the interests of the late composer györgy Vukan — author of the music for “Linda”. The lawsuit States that the whole country can identify this tune, including in the “X-Men”, where she “was used with slight modifications”. The plaintiff draws attention to the fact that “the soundtrack is largely influenced by the financial success of the animated series and the subsequent multibillion-dollar franchise,” and require the defendants to pay compensation. The amount of the claim, however, was not disclosed.
