MOSCOW, may 16. /TASS/. Translation entry of the first Soviet concert pieces of the composer Edison Denisov Symphony orchestra under the baton of Gennady Rozhdestvensky published on CD-ROM. This was announced on Thursday TASS in the press service of the company “Melody”, which released archival record.

“The 90th anniversary of the birth of composer released a unique Phonographic documents: the translation record of the first in the USSR author’s concert Edison Denisov, which was held in the Great hall of the Moscow Conservatory on 6 February 1990,” — said the Agency interlocutor. According to him, the album includes the most significant works of the composer 1970-1980-ies: Painting, tragic Concerto for flute and orchestra and Symphony No. 1. In addition, this includes introductory explanations of the composer, his conversation with Gennady Rozhdestvensky and even a fragment of a rehearsal of the concert.

The press service reminded that the composer himself repeatedly recalled the day 6 February 1990, calling it one of the largest and most happy for myself, and the execution of his music is flawless and inspired. “The concert of the author, the music of which was imposed an unofficial ban as alien to Soviet ideology, became a landmark for music history of the country, the new page which opened that year,” — said the Agency interlocutor. Especially as the conductor of the Symphony orchestra of the USSR Ministry of culture in that day was Gennady Rozhdestvensky.
