According to a senior IDC analyst Jitesh Ubrani, business and consumers have shown high interest in the form factor of tablets with detachable keyboard, but buyers with limited budget are unable to find a proper model and made a choice in favor of a conventional computer.
“However, with the advent of Surface of Go, products on the Chrome OS and, hopefully, more affordable iPad Pro, category of devices with a dockable keyboard still has a bright future, provided, however, that the performance or the software will meet user expectations,” said Ubrani.

According to a report by IDC, Apple has shipped in the second quarter to 11.5 million units (0.9% more than in the same period of 2017), occupying 34.9% of the market, Huawei — 3.4 million (+7.7%) and receiving a share of 10.3%. Samsung has put a 5 million tablets — 16.1% less than last year, Lenovo is only 2 million (-8,4%).
