Spy program under the name of Pegasus from the Israeli company NSO Group is now able to retrieve user data from cloud storage Apple, Google, Facebook, Amazon and Microsoft, reports the Financial Times.
Malware company NSO Group has already managed to declare itself in may this year. We are talking about the incident with the vulnerability in the WhatsApp messenger, which allows one call to be installed on the device a malicious program to spy on users. Once on an infected device, Pegasus may collect credentials for access to cloud services Google Drive, Facebook Messenger and iCloud. Spy software can conduct all the operations without “initiating two-factor authentication or notification of unauthorized access.”
Company NSO continues to reject all charges in the party about spying or break-ins. However, the company never denied the fact of technology development.
Amazon has stated that there is no currently no evidence of successful attacks Pegasus on its cloud services. However, the company, like Facebook, has promised to investigate. Apple and Microsoft have said about the constant improvement of security features to their platforms. Google has not commented on the situation.
