Washington, July 24 /Xinhua/ — the Ministry of justice on Tuesday announced the start of the antitrust investigation against a major U.S. IT companies Facebook, Google, Amazon and Apple.

The Ministry of justice said that its antitrust authority investigates how leading online platforms have managed to maintain a dominant position in the market and whether they do the activities aimed at reduction of competition, inhibition of innovation and harm the interests of consumers, and how. It is noted that this investigation will involve widespread among consumers and businesses concerns.
