Englishwoman Rachel Thompson has filed a lawsuit against Apple to get access to the photos from the account of her late husband. The fact that the laws of great Britain forbid relatives to go to the accounts of deceased people for online services.

Rachel’s husband committed suicide in July 2015. On the Apple services under its account there are about 4.5 million photos and 9000 videos. To them and wanted to get access to the spouse as photographs depicting family life of the couple and their child.

According to the laws of great Britain Rachel had no right to it, so she had to sue Apple to demand access to the account husband. The widow has spent thousands of pounds on the trial.

3,5 years later after the death of her husband the woman managed to succeed. District court in Central London decided to change the law and ordered Apple to give Rachel access to the account.
