About this businessman said on Tuesday, answering questions of participants of the forum organized by Time magazine in new York, the broadcast led channel CNBC.
“Technological sphere should be regulated. Too many examples of when the lack of barriers led to serious damage for society,” said cook.
To a journalist’s question about whether, in his opinion, the U.S. government on the right track in terms of developing standards in the field of data protection of Internet users, the entrepreneur said: “in a nutshell, I’m not sure”. “I think this is the case, when probability that Europe will do something. General rules of data protection is not perfect, but it’s a step in the right direction,” he added. As suggested by the entrepreneur, in the field of progressive steps first take power in the EU, “and then it gradually comes in the United States.”
According to cook, “American business believes that regulation is always bad”.
