MOSCOW, April 26. /TASS/. A choral cycle by Georgy Sviridov “Night clouds” on poems of Alexander Blok performed by Vladimir Minin & Moscow chamber choir for the first time published on CD-ROM. This was announced on Friday, TASS, the press service of the company “Melody”.
“For the first time on the disc is a choral cycle “Night clouds” in Blok’s poems performed by Vladimir Minin & Moscow chamber choir, recorded in 1970,” — said the Agency interlocutor.
According to him, the new album also includes unreleased live recording of the cantata “Spring” to the verses by N. Nekrasov. “This is one of the last recordings of Maestro Alexander Yurlov-Republican academic choir” — said the press service.
In addition, the new disc, which will be available on the platforms of iTunes, Apple’s Music and other services included Symphony unit, which presents the most popular suites from the film music “Snowstorm” and “Time, forward!”, as well as lesser known orchestral compositions — “Small triptych” and “Music for chamber orchestra”.
Orchestral works played by the Grand Symphony orchestra of all-Union radio conducted by Vladimir Fedoseyev and Rozhdestvensky and the Moscow chamber orchestra under Rudolf Barshai.
The press service recalled the words Sviridov that he always felt drawn “to choral singing, to the soul connection in sounds, in harmony”. The album presents the first choral opus of the composer — “Five choruses on verses of Russian poets” performed by the Leningrad state academic Capella named after M. I. Glinka under control of Vladislav Chernushenko.
