Mobile operator Tele2 has analyzed the popularity of mobile gadgets among its subscribers. In the third quarter of 2019 penetration of devices supporting fourth generation technology in the regions of the Volga region has reached 55%. Compared to the same period last year the share of smartphones in the operator’s network increased by 16 percentage points the Mass penetration of 4G devices the company is connected with development of LTE technology in the regions — this year almost leveled Tele2 4G-coating coated voice communication on the entire territory of Volga region.
In user preferences select subscribers focused around three key brands — Samsung, Xiaomi and Huawei. More than half of the smartphones Tele2 subscribers in the Volga region is the device that these manufacturers. The share of the latter in a common database devices showed the largest annual increase of 6 percentage points and reached 16%. Also among the most popular gadgets of the operator’s clients include several models of Apple.
Average price of a smartphone among Tele2 subscribers in the Volga region varies from 5 to 10 thousand rubles: almost 40% of owners of gadgets is devices in this price range. A significant proportion of smartphones in the operator’s network consists of devices costing from 10 to 20 thousand rubles — for the third quarter of this year, there were 23% of devices in this category.
