iPhone XR was the leader in sales among a very unusual category of customers — users of Android smartphones. This was reported in a recent study conducted by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners.
Former Android users accounted for 16% of iPhone buyers in the month since the release of iPhone XR in October.
When, in September 2017, Apple released the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus the number coming from Android users was 12%. After the launch of the iPhone X in November 2017, the proportion of defectors amounted to 11%.
The study notes that the most popular version among Apple smartphones in 2018 became the iPhone XR with a starting price of 749 dollars. It accounts for 32% of sales of smartphones Apple in the United States, while the iPhone XS and XS Max together scored 35%.
